Spotted a Malachite Kingfisher,
like the one in this photo, yesterday in my back garden. Unfortunately I didn't
have my camera on hand, which was really disappointing. There were 5 other
witnesses but it's really no fun unless I have a photo.
I am now armed with my camera and will be on
a stakeout in the back garden today, or for the week, if that is what is needed.
This sighting means that I now have seen 27
different bird types in my back garden.
