Awestruck - New Catholic Social Network

Please don't forget to take a look at the new Catholic Social Network site. It is a proudly South African creation. It launched publicly on 1 November 2011 and already it has international members.

Here is an important extract, from the terms and conditions, that is worth noting about the site and which should give you comfort regarding the content and purpose of this Social Network Site.

"Awestruck is a Website where Catholics can network, dialogue and find ways to promote the Catholic Faith and it's activities. We aim to create a safe, positive, trusted online space for all Catholics (especially the youth and the young at heart) to help nurture holiness, love and all the virtues. Our ethos is Catholic, so we ask that this be respected and that all who come here treat others with the charity and dignity that all people deserve. Please do not join this site if you are going to promote beliefs or practices that oppose the Catholic faith or encourage dissent. There are a number of Catholic Websites with apologetic forums where issues can be debated and we will do out best to promote these and collaborate with them. This site is intended for constructive networking, the exchange of ideas and the provision of useful tools, information and resources to help build up the Church and promote a view of Catholicism which is in line with the magisterial teachings of the Catholic Church."

So this is definitely a social network site worth joining and supporting.
